Cheese Steak Phils joins S'pore show

MANILA, Philippines - American-bred The Cheese Steak Shop, through its Philippine partner, will participate in Singapore’s top franchising show Franchising & Licensing Asia 2012 (FLAsia 2012) next month, to touch base with possible partners that will expand the brand’s footprints in the region.

Margaret “Mai” Uy, master franchise owner of The Cheese Steak Shop in the Philippines and Asia, said the FLAsia 2012 Exhibition & Conference in Singapore is a good platform to pursue the company’s desire to bring its Philadelphia-style sandwiches to more Asian food buffs.

“The Cheese Steak Shop has made its mark in the US and is now doing well in the Philippines. So our next logical step is to conquer more markets,” Uy explained.

The Cheese Steak Shop currently has a total of 31 branches in the USA and two in the Philippines - in Amorsolo, Makati and in The Fort Strip in Bonifacio Global City.

FLAsia 2012 is an international event that focuses on “entrepreneurship, business opportunities and Intellectual Property Rights in Asia. It is slated on Nov. 1-3 at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. It is viewed as a significant channel for introducing new business concepts into Asia and a springboard for budding local and regional companies to expand beyond their own shores.

The annual FLAsia trade exhibition convenes a myriad of top international franchises, brands, licenses, and proven business concepts from diverse industries.
