MANILA, Philippines - China-based Lenovo, the second largest personal computer company in the world, has expanded its presence in the Philippines with the introduction of affordable thin and light laptops to its product line.
Lenovo Philippines country general manager Vicky Agorrilla said the introduction of IdeaPads S300 and S400 would expand the company’s ultraportable IdeaPad product line and at the same time strike a balance between portability and performance for consumers who want more computing power than a netbook, and longer battery life than a traditional laptop, without the premium price of an Ultrabook™.
“Lenovo believes in offering a balanced product portfolio that appeal to our customers’ needs and preferences. The new IdeaPad S300 and S400 offer consumers more than just functionality. They’re small and lightweight with the power that allows them to do everything from web browsing to productivity tasks, all at an affordable package,” she said.
The S300 and S400 make great travel companions as they are less than an inch thick at 21.9 millimeter to be exact, and weigh only 1.8 kilograms. The Lenovo IdeaPad S300 is priced at P21,995 while the IdeaPad S400 sells for P24,995.
Both laptops offer premium features for immersive entertainment and multimedia activities such as a 14-inch HD widescreen display for S400 and 13.3-inch for S300, HDMI output, 3-megapixel web camera and stereo speakers.
They come equipped with up to 500GB hard disk storage capacity. In addition, intelligent energy management features not only increase time spent between charges – up to five hours – but also protect the long-term durability of the battery.
The S300 and S400 also feature intelligent touchpad that gives users a more controlled experience when scrolling and zooming, while the AccuType keyboard with individual rounded keys provides a platform for comfortable and accurate typing.
Lenovo is a $30-billion personal technology company serving customers in more than 160 countries.
