New BPO firm to open more call center sites, hire workers
MANILA, Philippines - Expert Global Solutions Inc. (EGS) is looking at opening more call center sites and hiring more workers in the Philippines with the completion of the merger between the NCO Group Inc. and APAC Customer Services Inc.
EGS Philippines president and country head Rainerio Borja told reporters yesterday on the sidelines of the announcement of the upcoming International Contact Center Conference & Expo 2012 that the company is set to build its own headquarters in Metro Manila.
Borja said the proposed building would house some of the sites whose lease contracts are about to expire by 2014.
EGS boasts of a large Philippine presence in both Metro Manila and the provinces with sites of 11,000-seat capacity in Mother Ignacia Ave, Cubao, Araneta Cyberpark, Bonifacio Global City, Marikina City, Alabang in Muntinlupa City, Palo in Leyte, and Clark Freeport in Pampanga.
He pointed out that the proposed building that would serve as the new headquarters of EGS would be completed by 2014, but the company would expand in the provinces starting next year.
He added that the company is set to hire 3,000 workers within the year to beef up its existing workforce of about 12,000 workers.
The company currently services US domestic and international banking, healthcare, publishing, travel, telecommunications, technology, eCommerce or eRetail, and transportation.
Last April, APAC Customer Services and NCO merged their operations to form EGS becoming a global leader of customer care business process outsourcing services and solutions as well as accounts receivable management.
With combined revenues of approximately $2 billion, APAC and NCO would be serving 40 percent of the Fortune 500 through its global network of 118 operation centers in 14 countries with over 40,000 workers worldwide.
In addition to the merger, the company has created a long term-capital structure that would provide further expanded credit availability and debt maturities extending to 2017 and beyond.
