- Louella Desiderio - The Philippine Star

Manila, Philippines -  A group of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Negros Occidental is looking to establish a permanent showroom for their products in Manila with the support of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) as it seeks to grow the members’ businesses and tap new markets.

“In six months, we hope to study the market even better with the end in view of establishing a permanent showroom here in Manila in collaboration of course with our partner, the DTI,” Association of Negros Producers (ANP) president Josephine Locsin said in a statement from the DTI late Friday.

The DTI’s Bureau of Domestic Trade showroom is currently displaying products of the ANP which groups 117 MSMEs.

The Negros showroom was launched recently at the ground floor of the Trade and Industry building in Makati City.

The ANP aims to hit monthly sales of P200,000 for the first two months from the showroom, and to increase sales by 30 percent from the third month onwards.

The group has food, housewares, fashion accessories, as well as organic and natural products on display at the showroom.
