Century Properties enters Quezon City mart with P4.1-billion project

- Zinnia B. Dela Peña - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Century Properties Group is debuting in the residential property market in Quezon City through a P4.1-billion mid-rise project that will be the first of its kind in Metro Manila’s largest city.

The eight-tower project called The Residences at Commonwealth by Century, also marks the company’s first foray into the affordable residential market to take advantage of the increasing availability of funds for housing acquisition as well as a low interest rate environment.

“For the first time ever, Century Properties is bringing its vaunted heritage of upscale visionary real estate development to the Commonwealth, Quezon City area. It will be surpassing the usual standards set for residential projects within this category by introducing pioneering amenities and concepts that will far exceed what the market has been accustomed to. Century will introduce the “uncommon” to redefine the standards for residential living in Quezon City, “ said Marco R. Antonio, managing director and co-chief operating officer of Century Properties.

Situated on a 4.4-hectare property along Commonwealth Avenue right beside Don Antonio Heights, the project is targeting local and overseas homebuyers, especially young professionals and startup families with a budget range of P1.5 to P3 million. It will offer distinctive amenities that encourage outdoor social interaction, a master-planned community with open spaces, greenery and waterscapes; and round the clock safety and security systems for the peace of mind of all residents.

Designed by the award-winning firm Broadway Malyan with Century’s in-house architecture team, the eight residential towers named after the prominent personalities of the Commonwealth period, will house a total of 2,300 units.

The first building, Osmena West, will have 11 storys, offering a total of 200 units slated for completion by 2015.

Succeeding buildings such as the Quezon, Roxas, Osmena and Quirino towers wil rise to as high as 22 storys.

Units come in suites and one-bedroom configurations that range from 21 to 49 square meters with an average price of P80,000 per square meter. Larger-cut 2-bedroom units from 64 to 72 square meters worth P5 million and up are also available.

Reservation fee for a unit, which comes with an exended balcony, is P15,000 and monthly amortization is offered for as low as P8,000.

“By entering the affordable price category we would like to tell home buyers that there is a Century home for each budget and preference for location within Metro Manila,” Antonio said.

Commonwealth by Century will have The Orchard, a multi-level clubhouse designed with very distinct amenities: a day care center for toddlers, kindergarten for kids, study and library, advanced learning center, arts and crafts studio, dance studio, cooking studio and kitchen, school of rock (rock n’ roll center) and a screening room.

The project will also have a complete gym and fitness center with salon and spa, yoga deck, multi-purpose hall for functions and chapel service, a terrace and a roof deck.

“We believe that Quezon City is ready to receive a new breed of residents who will truly appreciate the great value of the Commonwealth by Century home. The location is very accessible, being situated in one of the few cities in the metropolis that is less congested. Furthermore, the lifestyle experience will be exceptional because of the modern amenities, making it an ideal place to start a business, raise a family, or enjoy your retirement,” Antonio said.
