CREBA launches 21st annual confab

MANILA, Philippines - The Chamber of Real Estate & Builders’ Associations, Inc. (CREBA) held the official launching of its 21st Annual National Convention during its 5th monthly business Meeting held last May 31 in Makati City. Puerto Princesa Mayor Edward S. Hagedorn was guest of honor and speaker.

According to Charlie A. V. Gorayeb, CREBA national president, the annual national convention held in the month of October, serves as CREBA’s major year-end activity. The convention generates resolutions which are presented to the legislative and executive departments of government to assist in the attainment of the national housing goals.

CREBA executive vice-president Noel M. Carino who heads the event organizing committee, announced that the Convention, which will be held on Oct. 18-20 at the Legend Hotel, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan has the theme “Global Filipino: Key to Conserving Growth Through Sustainable and Strategic Real Estate Development and Practices.”

CREBA is the Philippine umbrella organization of the real estate and housing industry composed of property developers, builders, contractors, suppliers and manufacturers of construction materials, real estate service practitioners and other professionals and entities engaged in 68 allied fields.

The other members of the convention committee are: Florante C. Ofrecio, vice-chairman; Vitus P. Cruz, secretary-general and PR head; Connie N. Beltran, finance; Joanna Marie P. Valencia, sponsorship; Pablo A. Panlilio Jr., transportation and accommodation; Julius G. Topacio, programs; Techie P. Bautista, attendance; Romeo Thaddeus R. Liamzon Jr., protocols; Josephine A. Cortez and Grace Anne Cristine A. Torres, fellowship and physical arrangements; Roque A. Magno and Albino E. Paranada, resolutions; Evangeline A. Yia and Conirose L. Dulalia, investment and exhibit center; Arsenio M. De Guzman Jr., souvenir magazine publication; Albert Lim, golf tournament; and Myrna M. Delos Reyes, secretariat.
