MANILA, Philippines - As part of its continuing expansion this year, Airphil Express, the fastest growing budget carrier in the country today, has added two new regional routes that would take its passengers from Clark to Singapore (and vice versa) and Clark to Hong Kong (and vice versa).
The maiden flight of Clark to Singapore route was launched last May 17, while the Clark to Hong Kong route was opened the following day, May 18. More new regional routes are expected to be offered soon.
The route expansion, according to Airphil Express, is brought about by rosy prospects in the local tourism industry. Earlier this year, the airline also started serving four new routes from the Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (DMIA) in Clark going to Cebu, Davao, Kalibo and Puerto Princesa. The move forms part of the company’s plan to increase its market share in the burgeoning budget airline industry.
Airphil Express currently serves 32 local destinations from its hubs in Manila, Cebu, Zamboanga, Davao and the newly launched center in Clark, Pampanga. For a complete list of all destinations it serves, check out www.airphilexpress.com.
Airphil Express has become the darling of the tourism crowd with its airfare and convenience-driven products and services like Web Check-In, Seat Selector, Travel Insurance and Pre-Paid Baggage, as well as up to 10 kilos of free baggage allowance. It is also regarded as the first budget airline to address the needs of business and leisure travelers via its round-the-clock, 24/7 customer service presence in social networking websites.
