Global franchise gurus converge in Phl

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippines will again play host to the biggest convergence of great minds in the global franchising industry as the Philippine Franchise Association (PFA) hosts the International Franchise Conference on July 25-26 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

Alegria “Bing” Sibal-Limjoco, PFA vice-chair and co-founder and CEO of Francorp Philippines, said Filipino businessmen who are considering to expand their business through viable franchising concepts should ensure their attendance in the event, which coincides with the staging of the “Franchise Asia Philippines 2012.”

“The Franchise Conference will feature another batch of franchise gurus from all over the world who will come to the Philippines to share their world-class insights and global perspectives.  Breakout sessions after the talks are guaranteed to address the franchise sector’s evolving concerns,” Limjoco emphasized.

The conference is one of the four big events PFA is organizing from July 25 to 29 at the SMX Convention Center.

Limjoco stressed the International Franchise Expo from July 27 to 29 will again be the biggest and most visited in Asia, with the best concepts in the franchising industry-- from retail to food and services – that will be showcased under one roof for prospective franchisees to consider.

“The exhibitors include home-grown brands, both emerging and successful, and international brands that would like to penetrate the Philippine market.  Would-be franchisees would marvel at the variety of concepts they can choose from. Franchise Asia Philippines 2012 would also be a vehicle for local brands to go international,” she explained.

The PFA, Limjoco said, hopes to surpass the volume of visitors last year to record-breaking numbers this year.

On July 23 and 24, PFA will hold the Certified Franchise Executive Program to raise the level of expertise of Filipino franchise managers. “It is a global mark of distinction so that if one is a CFE, it means he has achieved global certification,” she added.
