MANILA, Philippines - American Eye Center (AEC) recently introduced the integrated Wavelight Refractive Suite, the world’s fastest refractive platform that comprises the Wavelight EX500 Excimer Laser and the Wavelight FS200 Femtosecond Laser, which greatly enhances the speed, precision, and safety levels of eye surgery.
Gretchen Malalad, a Southeast Asian Games gold medalist in karate, had her poor eyesight corrected via a Lasik procedure at AEC. The entire procedure, which takes only five to seven minutes per eye, has proven to be effective in treating a wide range of myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism.
AEC is accredited with the Department of Health and the Philippine Health Insurance Corp. and has branches located at the Level 5, EDSA Shangri-La Plaza, and at the Level 4 of Greenbelt 5, Makati City.
