MANILA, Philippines - Ipsos Inc. recently held a simple but symbolic ceremony to celebrate the combination of Ipsos and Synovate here in the Philippines, and for the formal rebranding to Ipsos Inc.
Ipsos was founded in France in 1975 as an independent company controlled and managed by research professionals. It has pursued a strategy of growing faster than the markets and its main competitors.
In line with this strategy, Ipsos acquired Synovate in October 2011. This combination brought together the fifth (Ipsos) and sixth (Synovate) largest global research agencies, forming the world’s third largest market research company.
With offices in more than 80 countries, Ipsos offers a complete line of custom, syndicated, omnibus, panel, and online research products and services.
Ipsos has a unique multi-specialist positioning through its six brands: Ipsos Marketing, Ipsos ASI (advertising and brand health), Ipsos Public Affairs, Ipsos MediaCT, Ipsos Loyalty and Ipsos Observer.
Locally, Ipsos (Philippines) Inc. and Synovate Inc. initiated the integration of the two companies immediately after the global acquisition became final and the managing director for the Philippines was announced.
By January 2012, the combined company operated as one at the new office facilities at One Corporate Center in Ortigas Center, Pasig City.
IPSOS Inc. Upon confirmation that the new company name would be Ipsos Inc., the company logo was unveiled last March 2, 2012.
“With this ceremony, we are marking a milestone in the history of the market research industry in the Philippines,” Carole Sarthou, managing director, said.
“Armed with the combination of research experts and an even broader suite of business lines and expertise, Ipsos Inc. is ready to be one of the leaders in market research,” she added.
