MANILA, Philippines - John Alonte, CEO of Rising Tide Mobile Entertainment, and Eliza Coliangco-Tan, CEO of MobileCash, have joined forces to create MyMusicStore.com.ph, the biggest music downloading site in the Philippines. MyMusicStore.com.ph was launched recently at the Robot Restaurant and Lounge in Makati. Hosted by Magic89.9’s Mia Bayuga and RX93.1’s Rico Robles, the event gave the public its first glimpse of the site, where music enthusiasts can download songs from their favorite OPM and international artists. MyMusicStore.com.ph aims to be the most complete music downloading site in the country that offers the most in-demand songs at the most affordable prices with the most convenient payment methods. For as low as P20 per track, people can pay for their song purchase through Mobile Load, Pay Pal or credit card. The official unveiling of MyMusicStore.com.ph was attended by the bigwigs of the music industry—Ramon Chuaying, EVP of Polyeast Records; Christopher Sy , EVP of Viva Communications Inc.; Kathleen Dy-Go, general manager of Universal Records Inc.; Johnny Sy, president of Praise Music; Alvin de Vera, president of Alpha Music; Steven Tan, president, Ivory Music and Video Inc.; Marivic Benedicto, head of New Media, Star Records; Bernie Refuerzo, head of Able Music International; Narciso Chan, president of Sony Music Philippines; Ricky Ilacad, president of MCA Music Inc. and head of the Philippine Association of the Recording Industry; and with the special participation of Ronnie Ricketts, chairman of the Optical Media Board.
