HK publications cite BDO-led deals

-

MANILA, Philippines - Two Hong Kong-based financial publications have cited BDO Unibank, Inc. (BDO) for its participation in two of the Philippines’ big-ticket acquisition and loan deals in 2011.

FinanceAsia has recognized Atlas Consolidated Mining and Development’s $368 million acquisition of Carmen Copper Corp. and named it the Best Philippines Deal in the FinanceAsia Achievement Awards 2011. BDO, through its wholly owned investment banking arm BDO Capital and Investment Corp., acted as one of the advisers and deal arrangers of the mining firm’s fundraising activity.

Alpha Southeast Asia, meanwhile, has awarded Quezon Power Philippines’ $425 -million loan the Best Vanilla/Structured Loan Deal of the Year in Southeast Asia. The lenders were BDO Capital, BPI Capital, RCBC and China Banking Corp.
