How to evict abusive squatters

MANILA, Philippines - A property owner’s worst nightmare is to have abusive squatters, professional squatting syndicates and unlawful tenants on his premises. What does one do when faced with this headache?

The Center for global Best Practices is holding a one-day pioneering seminar entitled, “A Property Owner’s Guide to ejecting illegal Dwellers Effectively: Strategies, Legal Procedures, and Solutions” on Jan. 27, 2012 at The Peninsula Manila, Makati City.

Listen, learn and ask questions from a practicing judge and book author of the “Law on Ejectment,” Judge Danilo A. Manalastas, who will share relevant answers and landmark cases relating to problems posed by unlawful occupants on real property whether public or private.

In addition, Gen. Efren Q. Fernandez, PNP (Ret.) will discuss “Best Practices Operations On the Ground: Ejectment Strategies and Demolition Tactics.” He is an expert strategies who has extensive experience in peacefully and effectively removing thounsands of illegal dwellers.

The third lectyrer is Ferdinand M. Casis who is an expert in agrarian law. He is a law professor at the Ateneo Law School and a lecturer at the Philippine Judicial Academy. He was director of legal service at the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) form 1993 to 1995.
