Chua named Management Man of the Year

MANILA, Philippines - The National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) congratulates one of its directors, Ambassador Francis Chua, who received the highest award bestowed by the Philippine Council of Management (Philcoman) during the 38th National Management Congress in Pasay City on Nov. 24, 2011.

Chua was presented the “Management Man of the Year Award 2011” for exemplifying entrepreneurial and managerial excellence.

A former president and now chairman emeritus of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), Chua is recognized as the first person to hold the presidential position of three major Philippine business associations. These are the PCCI, the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and the Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines Foundation.

As PCCI president, he worked for the promotion of the Philippines as an investment hub. Known for being a philanthropist, he also led organizations in the advocacy for education by donating school buildings.

Philcoman is a non-profit, non-political organization of professional and technological societies, management development institutions, the academe, business enterprises, and professional managers dedicated to the development and improvement of management practices in the country.
