MANILA, Philippines - Resorts World Manila (RWM) welcomes Allan Martin Paz as its vice-president for marketing communications.
Martin is the newest addition to RWM’s roster of Filipino talent. His combined 18 years of extensive experience in above-the-line, below-the-line and through-the-line advertising; as well as digital, events, and public relations in a wide range of industries makes him the perfect fit for the dynamic and fast-paced destination that is RWM.
Prior to joining Travellers International Hotel Group, Inc., owner and operator of RWM, Martin served as client service director of DDB Worldwide, handling the overall prepaid business of Smart Communications Inc. His resume also includes two stints as an expatriate; first as a senior account director for 141 Worldwide (now Ogilvy Group), handling the British American Tobacco in Vietnam, and second as a senior brand director for Leo Burnett, handling McDonald’s Regional China.
“Martin is a welcome addition to RWM’s roster of Filipino talent,” said Jeffrey Evora, vice-president of marketing, “His skills, along with his experiences abroad, is a great contribution in intensifying RWM’s promotion of Filipino talent to the international market.”
Martin also previously worked in advertising agency giants namely Foote Cone and Belding, and Ace Saatchi & Saatchi. His past accounts have given him valuable insights in quick service restaurant operations, food and beverage, and telecommunications among others. However, it is his first time to take full rein in handling the marketing component of a multinational brand such as RWM, and he couldn’t be more thrilled about it.
“This is something new for me. However, like its tagline says, This is the place to play, and I expect it to be a challenge that is not just professionally rewarding but also fun,” Martin said, “We have always been known for our hospitality and aptitude in the different fields of entertainment, but we have yet really been internationally recognized for it,” he added.
“Moreover, RWM is definitely a game changer in a lot of ways, and that’s what I like about it. It’s a fun and fresh product, and more than that, it’s a pleasure to be part of a team that is working hard in putting the spotlight on local talent,” he says.
As RWM grows and evolves, it will continue to champion and employ Filipino talent in world-class standards. For more information on Resorts World Manila, call the Tourist Hotline at 836-6333 or visit www.rwmanila.com.
