Expertise and excellence shine in 1st PSTD Gawad Maestro Awards

-

MANILA, Philippines - Today’s business environment demands a strong alignment between individual and organizational performance, which can be enhanced by programs designed and implemented by professionals in the field of Training and Workplace Learning and Performance. This underscores the value of talented trainers and coaches who combine passion, commitment, and cutting-edge competencies to conceptualize and deliver programs of lasting value to the organization.

The foremost authority in Workplace Learning and Performance, the Philippine Society for Training and Development (PSTD), is gearing up to award its first batch of its Workplace Learning Performance (WLP) Gawad Maestro awardees, as it honors and recognizes outstanding individuals and organizations that have demonstrated leadership and creativity in improving organizational performance.

The prestigious awarding ceremony is slated to be held on Nov. 21, 2011 at the Grand Ballroom of the Diamond Hotel along Roxas Boulevard in Manila. The guest of honor at the Gawad Maestro Awards Night is none other than international ballerina, Lisa Macuja-Elizalde, who is herself a trainer and coach. She is set to share how her intensive training has helped her to reach the peak of her career as a world-renowned Filipino talent.

The categories for the awards are Outstanding WLP Professional, Outstanding WLP Manager, Outstanding WLP Organizational Champion, Outstanding WLP Program/Intervention, and WLP Leader Extraordinaire.

Since the launch of the Gawad Maestro awards early this year at the Society Lounge in Makati City during Balik-PSTD: It’s Time to Come Home event, the nominees for each category have been shortlisted with an elite panel of judges composed of training experts and notable WLP practitioners. The finalists have passed through a meticulous selection process such as interviews and site visits in order to determine those who truly deserve to receive praise and recognition as a Gawad Maestro awardee.

The Gawad Maestro Awards is also envisioned to promote the value and significance of a solid and effective WLP program in today’s organizations. By recognizing exemplary individuals and organizations, PSTD is able to create role models for the younger set of WLP practitioners to emulate, and share best practices from the winning entries in the different categories.

For seat and table reservations, and sponsorship details, contact the PSTD Secretariat at Suite 904, 9/F Cityland Condominium 10 Tower II, H.V. dela Costa Street, cor. Valero St., North Salcedo Village Makati City; phone numbers 812-9931 / 7038789 to 90; fax number 8140372; or email secretariat@pstd.org.
