SMDC allots P2B for condo project

MANILA, Philippines - SM Development Corp. (SMDC), the residential development arm of the family of retail magnate Henry Sy, is spending P2 billion for the construction of Mezza II Residences, a 40-story condominium project along Aurora Boulevard in San Juan City.

To rise on a 2,592-square meter property, Mezza II Residences will make available 1,324 units priced at P1.2 million to P2 million each. 

Unit sizes range from 15.65 sqm to 59.33 sqm.

Construction of the project will begin in October this year while completion is slated in the fourth quarter of 2014.

 “The inauguration of Mezza II Residences further attests to SMDC’s firm commitment to provide five-star quality homes in prime locations at affordable price points. With the launching of Mezza II, we expect to better serve our market, which has been consistent in warmly receiving our offerings,” said Sandro Javier, Mezza II project director.

Mezza II Residences is near SM City Sta. Mesa and the V. Mapa station of the Light Rail Transit 2.

“The proximity of Mezza II to its predecessor, Mezza Residences, which is SMDC’s first high-rise condominium, affirms our belief and confidence in the progress and development of that area in Quezon City, which is known for its vibrant community composed of major schools, hospitals and commercial establishments. We have made sure that, just like in all other SMDC projects, Mezza II will offer units and amenities that are of high quality, secure, and reliable,” Javier said.

Mezza II Residences’ amenities include swimming pools, a sky lounge, function rooms, residential lobby with reception and lounge, four levels of parking spaces, a stand-by power generator, and commercial and retail establishments, among others.

Including Mezza II Residences, SMDC currently has 13 residential projects under its SM Residences brand and two under the MPlace brand.

Among its fully completed projects include Chateau Elysee, Mezza Residences, Lindenwood Residences and Berkeley Residences.

Ongoing projects include Grass Residences, Sea Residences, Field Residences, Princeton Residences, Light Residences, Jazz Residences, Sun Residences, Wind Residences, Blue Residences and MPlace South Triangle.

SMDC has programmed to launch six new projects this year in the cities of Pasig, Quezon, Pasay, Manila and Parañaque.
