MANILA, Philippines - Doosan Infracore Construction Equipment, the flagship business of the Doosan brand from Korea, is now being exclusively distributed in the Philippines by InfraMachineries. From humble beginnings in 1896 as a small modern store in Baeogae, Jongro 4, Seoul, Doosan has grown into a worldwide global management team in over 35 countries with a vast portfolio.
Expansion to other counties is an integral part of Doosan’s growing business and through InfraMachineries, Doosan’s high quality and reasonably priced construction machines are now available in the Philippine market. The Doosan Infracore construction portfolio includes worldwide brands such as Doosan, Doosan Moxy, Bobcat, and Ingersoll Rand to name a few. With such well-crafted and time-tested brands at the core of their construction equipment group, Doosan delivers quality products at a very reasonable price.
To officially launch the brand and the partnership in the country, last July 27, 2009, Doosan and InfraMachineries held a grand launch party at the Gazebo Royale in Quezon City. Despite the incessant rain, guests from private construction groups and local government units flocked to the event. More than 250 guests graced the launch including the Korean executives from Doosan, such as executive director Hee-eun Ahn and general manager Chuck Yoon. Undersecretary Pacanan of DPWH along with Assistant secretary Roy Manao were also present with Mayor Hernandez of Rodriguez, Rizal and Undersecretary Benjamin Mendoza of the Office of the Vice President.
Guests were certainly rewarded for their efforts in making the trip despite the bad weather. InfraMachineries pulled out all the stops to make the event a memorable and fun one for all in attendance. “We really wanted to treat our guests to a night to remember,” Cristine de Vera, general manager of InfraMachineries shares. “After all, we feel this is really a landmark event and we wanted to celebrate it right.”
An exciting program kicked off the festivities and the brand launched their coined phrase “Let’s get it done with Doosan”. Dinner and drinks followed and were free-flowing all evening for guests and while they enjoyed the fare they were invited to view the Doosan equipment on display outdoors brought over just for the evening. This included the Doosan M250, M200 Wheel loaders, and the S180w and D140w excavators. A raffle followed dinner where prizes such as cellular phones, television sets, and a trip for two to South Korea were given to the very lucky winners.
It was a night to remember indeed and a fitting way to begin a strong and fruitful partnership. “We are very excited for this partnership and look forward to growing together in the Philippines,” BF Corp.’s Tala Fernando said as she capped off the evening and thanked everyone for coming. The party is only the beginning. This year, Doosan is looking forward to launching their articulated dumptrucks and adding them to their product line as well as truly expanding and growing in the country.
