MANILA, Philippines - Globe Telecom, one of the leading telecommunications providers in the Philippines, said it has entered into a strategic partnership with carrier Ethernet Neutral Exchange (CENX), the operator of the world’s first and most connected carrier Ethernet exchange.
Globe recently completed its Ethernet service member testing with CENX for its E-Line, E-LAN and EVPL services, and is now ready to offer these with a wider international Ethernet footprint.
“By becoming a member of CENX, we will be able to enhance the reach of our carrier Ethernet services for the benefit of our customers, especially the BPOs and multinational companies,” Globe Business head Jesus Romero said. Apart from having the most number of active carrier Ethernet exchanges, CENX will provide Globe with access to more than 15 million Ethernet service locations worldwide.
“We believe that this partnership with CENX will offer additional value to our customers in terms of simplifying Ethernet connectivity. CENX will help make Globe’s expanded carrier Ethernet services efficient and cost-effective by allowing seamless one-to-many carrier Ethernet interconnections,” Romero added.
To establish a solid foundation for its carrier Ethernet services, Globe passed numerous compliance tests and has achieved MEF 9 and most recently, MEF 14 certifications. With these certifications, enterprise customers are guaranteed that Globe’s carrier Ethernet services measure up to international standards accepted globally. “Our MEF certification and this agreement with CENX signifies our relentless commitment in offering superior customer experience by continuously enhancing the quality of carrier Ethernet services that we provide enterprises,” Romero pointed out.
“We are pleased to welcome Globe Telecom to CENX, the largest global service provider community of carrier Ethernet Exchange. We look forward to their success via CENX, much like other members of CENX have been able to achieve,” CENX SVP for worldwide development Eric Gillenwater noted.
