MIA installs electronic billboards

MANILA, Philippines - The Manila International Airport Authority approved recently and installed the television monitors around the three airport terminals in Metro Manila to better serve the public. PixIllusions, a fully Filipino owned IT company, spearheaded the project with the cooperation of MIA officials to deliver better information and transportation service to the flying public. Anton Ocampo, business development manager of PixIllussions, said they envision the project to reach the level of major airports worldwide where information can be seen at a glance from LED screens scattered around the airport. “Just like being in Narita or O’Hare International airports, where flight information, local destinations, local resort and tourist spots and hotels are flashed on the screen, we like to think MIA can have the same technology spurring tourism and airport passenger traffic,” says Ocampo.
