EEI Corp is among 'Best of Asia' in Corporate Governance

MANILA, Philippines - EEI Corporation was recognized by Corporate Governance Asia as one of the Best of Asia during the “7th Corporate Governance Asia Recognition Awards 2011” held last June 20, 2011 at the Conrad Hotel in Hong Kong. The award was given to EEI for demonstrating outstanding practice in corporate governance and corporate social responsibility and for its continued effort in initiating and implementing the best methods which contribute to the overall progress and improvement of corporate governance. This is the second year in a row that EEI has received this award.

Corporate Governance Asia is a journal that specializes in corporate governance in this region and has been giving this award to companies in Asia for the past eight years. It is in a unique position to see and observe those who lead the way in initiating best practices and have contributed significantly to the overall development of corporate governance, social responsibility and environmental practices.

EEI Corporation, a part of the Yuchengco Group of Companies, is a member of the Good Governance Advocates and Practitioners of the Philippines (GGAPP), an organization committed to the promotion and furtherance of good governance principles and practices.
