Smart Enterprise unveils PINpoint solutions for merchandising

MANILA, Philippines -  In a bid to enhance business productivity and efficiency, Smart Enterprise unveiled yesterday its PINpoint solutions targeted at retail and merchandising operations.

These solutions promise to enable accurate business information reporting in real-time.

PINpoint Merchandising helps retail merchandisers by automating what was once largely a pen-and-paper process. Before, updates to shelf inventories in supermarkets and stores had to be manually written down, typed and faxed to a central warehouse for reconciling.

It now equips merchandisers with a mobile phone for his or her access, giving them the ability to enter stock levels for top-level view reporting to central headquarters.

Meanwhile, PINpoint Rewards is a ready-made customer loyalty program that can stand alone or easily integrate with most existing retail business systems. It allows huge savings in time and money by giving managers the option to do away with investments on expensive equipment, card printing and distribution. All customer information and buying history is available online and member details contained in a unique barcode that can be saved on each customer’s smartphone. This barcode is scanned quickly by the store’s main input device, such as any tablet, for updates on points earned.

Both solutions easily fit in with most customer systems and deliver information in near-real time, generating secure online views for management staff once they log-in.
