PFA seminar to offer tips on franchise investments

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Franchise Association (PFA) is inviting franchise enthusiasts to discover bankable franchise investments in the PFA Regional Roadshows 2011: The Metro Manila Franchise Seminars scheduled on Friday, May 20, at the Megatrade Conference Center, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City.

The organizer said that aside from helpful tips on choosing the right franchise, overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) will be offered special franchise investment packages which will be discussed during the “How to invest in a franchise wisely” seminar.

The whole-day event, which aims to increase awareness on the many benefits of franchising, will offer two seminars. Scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. is the “How to franchise your business” seminar for would-be franchisors or for existing business owners who   want to expand their business via franchising. The special franchise investment packages and informative tips on choosing the right franchise will be discussed in the next seminar on “How to invest in a franchise wisely” (2-7 p.m.) for prospective franchisees or those who are looking for a franchise to buy.

The seminars will feature talks from a pool of franchise experts who will discuss the trends and opportunities in Philippine franchising, franchise development process, and selecting and buying the right franchise. Apart from PFA member companies who will present their respective special investment packages, the seminar will also feature resource speakers from information and communications technology (ICT) and financial institutions for added support in the participants’ franchise ventures.

PFA, through its member companies participating in the seminar, offered to come up with special packages for OFWs, particularly displaced overseas workers affected by various global challenges, to put their hard-earned money in wise investments such as franchising.

“Parallel to our goal of promoting the interest and welfare of our overseas Filipinos and their families by providing them better opportunities via the tried and tested franchise businesses, PFA is embarking on this project to support the government’s reintegration efforts for OFWs particularly those repatriated from the Middle East,” PFA president Yvette Pardo-Orbeta said.

PFA has been aggressively promoting the development of a culture of entrepreneurship among Filipinos, promoting franchising as a tool for economic development and nation-building. The pioneer and largest franchise association in the country, PFA has over 200 member-franchisors representing 370 brands covering various investment levels – from micro to large – in the food, retail and service sectors.
