MANILA, Philippines - IBM has been named the Fastest-Growing BPO Company of the Year by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce and the Business Processing Association of the Philippines (BPAP) at the International ICT Awards Philippines 2011 held at the Dusit Hotel in Makati City.
Organized by the CanCham and the BPAP, the annual event recognizes top individuals and companies whose contributions have greatly impacted the Philippine BPO industry.
The Philippines is one of the strategic locations in IBM’s Global Delivery network that integrates capabilities, assets and skills without borders. IBM Global Delivery sites in the country provide business process outsourcing services (human resources, finance and accounting, supply chain management, and customer relationship management), and application services to clients all over the world.
The inauguration of four new facilities in Cebu and Metro Manila in 2010 significantly increased IBM’s global delivery capacity in the Philippines. That investment brought the total of world-class facilities that IBM operates in the Philippines to 10, delivering innovative and high-value solutions to both domestic and global clients.
“This award is a testament to IBM’s strong commitment to the country and reflects the company’s confidence and trust in the Filipino talent,” according to Cassandra Soto, Philippine delivery leader for IBM Global Process Services. “It is also a positive affirmation from partners and the industry as we mark our 100th year as a global company in June 2011 and as we approach 75 years in the Philippines in 2012. We will continue to work together to deliver progress for the industry and our nation as a whole.”
