MANILA, Philippines - Philippine franchising guru Bing Sibal-Limjoco has been named one of the 10 “Most Influential Filipinas of 2010” by the Female Network (FN), the first Philippine website for women.
Limjoco joins an elite list of Filipina world-class achievers that include Lea Salonga, Jessica Soho, Charice Pempengco, and Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago.
The concurrent vice chair of Philippine Franchise Association (PFA) and chair of Franchise Asia 2011 topped the business category of FN’s first-ever Womanity Awards, which hail empowering women as well as their inspiring stories of triumph, talent and determination. Limjoco also sits as CEO of Francorp Philippines, the company that helped a number of the country’s successful franchises which include Jollibee, Bench, Max’s Restaurant, Goldilocks, The Generics Pharmacy, Potato Corner, Plains and Prints, PR Gaz Haus, Waffle Time, Fruit Magic, Reyes Haircuters, to name a few.
Limjoco was also commended by FN for always willing to pass on the secrets of her entrepreneurial success by being a regular speaker at business-oriented events. This is the second recognition for Limjoco who recently bagged the “Go Negosyo Filipina Starpreneur – Enterprise Enabler Category” awards from the Philippine Center for Enterprise (PCE).
The website, which has some five million page views, launched the Womanity Awards in conjunction with International Women’s Day last March 8. The other awardees include Ana Julaton, Daphne Osena-Paez, Tweety de Leon, Liz Uy, and Dr. Raquel Fortun.
