MANILA, Philippines - IP Converge Data Center Inc. and Internet search giant Google, have launched Google Search Appliance (GSA), a user interface widely used that ensures accuracy, speed and relevance for all users without the hassle of searching through multiple data sources.
In a statement, IP Converge, the country’s largest data services provider, said the tool, which forms part of its roster of business solutions and services, allows local enterprises the means to replicate the efficiency of Google Search within their own private network.
The GSA provides universal search by accessing and integrating with Intranets, portals, file shares, databases, content management systems, email and business applications. It also enables an integrated search with Google Apps, Google Site Search and Twitter.
“We are proud to introduce the Google Search Appliance to the Philippines. It is a tool that would suit many of the companies that deal with documents and information that are stored in different formats and locations,” said Herns Hermida, IP-Converge vice president for emerging solutions,
“This also saves companies time and money. Other search solutions require dedicated IT staff and more maintenance hours, not so with the Google Search Appliance - it’s practically a plug and play solution...this gives you true “findability” at a lower cost,” Hermida added.
As a Google enterprise partner, IP-Converge received training, support and deployment services from Google, as well as access for integrating Google Apps into customers’ business operations.
IP Converge is the first and only Internet data center and cloud services provider listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange. It is an information technology and telecommunications company, providing local and regional enterprises with an array of managed data services and cloud-based business solutions at international standards.
