DMCI scales up expansion with 8 new projects this year

MANILA, Philippines - DMCI Homes, the property unit of the Consunji-led flagship firm DMCI Holdings, is scaling up expansion with eight new projects lined up for the year as it aims to further strengthen its position in the highly-competitive industry.

Cherrie Lyn Cruz, marketing manager of DMCI Homes, said the company is rolling out new projects in key areas in Metro Manila, which include Maricielo Villas, Rhapsody Residences, Stellar Place, Arista Place, Flair Towers and two still unnamed residential buildings.

Cruz said Flair Towers is a two-tower high-rise building to rise on a 1.45-hectare property along Reliance St. cor. Pines St., Mandaluyong City. To be launched in Mid-April,the project will offer a total of 2,066 units priced at P1.8 million to P3.5 million each.

He said the company has already sold 120 units since it started pre-selling in December.

Stellar Place is composed of a 15-story tower and two five-storey buildings located in Visayas Ave., Quezon City near Elliptical Road. It is DMCI Homes’ fifth project in Quezon City, targeting upwardly mobile professionals and young, start-up families.

Cruz said the company expects to generate P1 billion in sales from Stellar Place, which will make available a total of 457 units when completed in 2014.

Maricielo Villas, on the other hand, will consist of five Spanish-inspired residential villas located in Quirino cor. Casimiro, Las Piñas (the former site of San Francisco Motors). Targeted for completion in 2012, the project will house close to 500 units priced at P2.5 million to P3.2 million each.

Rhapsody Residences, meanwhile, is DMCI’s first residential development that will rise on a 3.8-hectare lot in Muntinlupa City. The neo-Asian inspired project will comprise eight five-story buildings and one 10-store building that will make available a total of 1,186 units.

Cruz said the first building of Rhapsody Residences, is expected to be completed in 2012.

The two other projects of the company will rise in Sta. Mesa and Parañaque, Quirino Ave.DMCI Homes registered P14.71 billion in record sales last year, representing a 95-percent increase from the P9.057 billion recorded in 2009. The company sold 4,884 residential units in 2010, significantly higher than previous level of 3,033.
