Honeymoon destinations are big business

-

MANILA, Philippines - When we talk of weddings, we talk of honeymoons, too. In fact, honeymoon trips have made many countries in the world favorite destinations for newlyweds. The lure of the old world draws tourists to Europe with its old castles, ancient towns and rich culture. The exotic attracts visitors to Asia where its fascinating history and its colorful traditions are crowd drawers. When it comes to the Philippines, Boracay is foremost in the mind of many newlyweds. Its pristine white beach, considered to be the finest in the world, its world-class amenities, and the gorgeous sunset make it a truly romantic location. That is why starting with the 18th edition of Wedding Expo Philippines (WEP), to be held at the SMX Convention Center from March 12 to 13, a honeymoon destination partner will be named to guide soon-to-wed couples with possible places they may visit. In future editions of WEP, a honeymoon destination will be named, be it a country, city, town or venue. The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), which is joining WEP for the first time, is giving out a honeymoon package. The TAT has been chosen as the official honeymoon destination partner in this edition of WEP. About 400 suppliers have signed up for the event, including photographers, videographers, photo booths, fashion designers, florists, caterers, reception venues, hotels, honeymoon destinations, cakes, invitation makers and social printers, and makers of souvenirs and giveaways. A number of international exhibitors from Thailand and Malaysia are joining the fair. Admission is free if you pre-register online at www.themesnmotifs.com. Free passes may also be secured at Themes & Motifs Wedding Resource Center at Makati Shangri-La Hotel and from participating exhibitors.
