Asian cuisine seminar set

MANILA, Philippines -  Asian cuisine is known for its distinctive flavors and signature cooking techniques found throughout the region. The important element in Asian cooking is the use of herbs and spices that are blended skillfully leading to a successful dish. Discover and learn the true taste of Asian food to treat yourself for a delicious meal or if you would wanted to venture into the food business. The Golden Treasure Skills and Development Program will conduct a one-day seminar on how to make different Asian dishes such as Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Singaporean, Malaysian, and Filipino dish. The seminar will be held at the College of Social Work and Community Development (CSWCD), Magsaysay Ave., cor. Ylanan St., University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City. on Feb. 27, Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be an actual demonstration and hands-on experience where in participants will be taught how to prepare beef broccoli, cashew almond chicken, chicken and pork asado, tofu in oyster sauce, butterfly shrimp in barbecue sauce, beef tepanyaki, bean and vegetable stew, gyoza, yakisoba, tomyang goong, thai beef salad, thai fried rice with pineapple, shrimp hakaw, lemon chicken, breaded fish fillet in pineapple ginger sauce, chicken and pork barbecue, Chinese garlic chicken, machang, sweet and sour pork, mushu-pork. Sourcing of materials and costing will also be discussed. Lunch and snacks will be provided including handouts, certificate of training   and raw materials to be used in the demonstration and hands-on is also included.
