No price hike for Christmas ham - CDO
MANILA, Philippines - A leading ham manufacturer yesterday assured that it will not raise the prices of its hams this month to help the Filipino consumers enjoy the festivity of the Christmas season.
“There is no price increase for Holiday Ham this Christmas,” CDO-Foodspere Inc. AVP-marketing Jonathan Bendicion said during the formal launching of the Holiday Ham sales campaign.
The government earlier assured that prices and supply of basic commodities will remain stable this holiday season.
Agriculture Assistant Secretary Davinio Catbagan said there is a steady supply of meat products in December, which should translate to stable prices.
Bendicion said Foodsphere makes sure that their specialty hams, particularly Holiday Ham, are accessible and affordable to Filipino consumers, which is in line with the company’s corporate social responsibility.
Holiday Ham, the flagship ham of Foodsphere, will remain at P450 a kilo, Bendicion said.
“We make sure that we serve the people with a Christmas staple that has become a part of the Filipino tradition,” he said.
