Globe offers affordable postpaid roaming plans
MANILA, Philippines – Globe Telecom has launched another innovative offer for its postpaid plan subscribers to make international roaming more convenient and affordable.
In a statement, Globe said the promotional offer, PowerRoam, allows postpaid subscribers to enjoy up to 75 percent savings on roaming rates while traveling abroad. For as low as P499, postpaid subscribers may enjoy up to three more call minutes, 15 more text messages and 50 more emails.
The offer is available in 15 countries and territories, namely: Australia (Optus); Hong Kong (CSL); India (Bharti Airtel); Indonesia (Telkomsel); Macau (CTM); Malaysia (Maxis); Singapore (SingTel); Taiwan (Taiwan Mobile); South Korea (SK Telecom); Thailand (AIS); China (China Mobile and China Unicom); United Kingdom (Vodafone); United States (T-Mobile); Saudi Arabia (Mobily); and Canada (Rogers).
PowerRoam comes in three affordable and fully-consumable variants: Plan 499, Plan 999 and Plan 2999, all valid for 30 days.
To avail of PowerRoam, all postpaid subscribers simply have to choose the denomination they want by texting POWERROAM to 2884. Once a user’s PowerRoam load has been fully consumed, he or she can register for a new allocation by simply texting 2884 again, even within the 30-day validity period.
“Looking closely into the lifestyles of our postpaid subscribers, international roaming is among the must-haves for these customers. Globe is a step ahead in making international roaming service worry-free and affordable to our subscribers. We have more than 600 roaming partners in hundreds of destinations around the world, making Globe the most accessible provider of international roaming services,” Globe postpaid marketing head Martha Sazon said.
She pointed out that now, the introduction of PowerRoam offers another plus for Globe as it allows postpaid subscribers to stay connected while saving up to 75 percent on regular roaming rates.
Exclusively available from Globe, PowerRoam is another first from Globe, following the launch of My Super Plan, a buffet of services where subscribers can choose and pay for all-you-can call, text or web surfing, depending on their needs and usage; and My Fully Loaded Plan, postpaid offers that allow subscribers to choose a monthly consumable amount, up to nine bonus or free offers and a selection of handsets.
Globe remains the leader in the postpaid category with revenues reaching P10.13 billion as of the third quarter of 2010. Currently, Globe has over one million postpaid subscribers and continues to attract more postpaid customers with the most innovative plan offers and the latest devices at the most affordable plans, Sazon added.
