Malaysia's condo king meets CREBA

MANILA, Philippines - Dato’ Alan Tong Kok Mau, past world president of the International Real Estate Federation, more known for its French acronym FIABCI, will be the guest of honor and speaker during the 9th monthly business of the Chamber of Real Estate & Builders’ Associations, Inc. (CREBA) on Sept.30 at the Grand Ballroom of the Hotel Intercontinental Manila, Ayala Avenue, Makati City.

During the same occasion, Tong will administer the oath of office of the newly-elected officers and directors of the FIABCI Philippine Chapter, led by Purita R. Soliven, chairman; Dr. Reynaldo A. Carpio, president; and Florentino S. Dulalia Jr., chairman emeritus. Other inductees are: Pag-IBIG Fund president Jaime A. Fabiana, vice-chairman; Dra. Mary Gaw-So, executive vice-president; NHMFC vice-president Daisy Dulay, vice-president for public sector affairs; Julius G. Topacio, secretary-general; Teresita B. Canlas, treasurer; Daniel R. Dela Cruz, public relations officer; Mario Alzona Jr., auditor. To serve as trustees are Editha L. Manansala, Phil B. Delfino, Benjie R. Soliven, former ambassador Rafael A. Gonzales, Arsenio M. De Guzman Jr., and past president Robert Marie C. Sy.

An architectural graduate from the University of Sydney in 1959, Tong founded Sunrise Sdn. Bhd., a property development firm based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. His stewardship of the company was shortened when he became a Selangor State Assemblyman for two terms (1974-1982).
