SMC invests heavily to improve quality of Petron products
MANILA, Philippines - San Miguel Corp. (SMC) is investing heavily in improving the quality of products being offered by its newly-bought subsidiary, Petron Corp.
Over the weekend, SMC president and Petron chairman and CEO Ramon Ang announced another breakthrough in its marketing strategy.
He said Petron had launched the reformulated and improved high performance Petron Blaze gasoline as part of the company’s effort to provide high quality products to its customers.
The Improved Petron Blaze contains a premium blend of octane boosters, organic combustion enhancers, and detergent additives that work together for superior performance.
The enhanced formulation translates to several performance benefits including highly efficient combustion and engine performance for sustained power; better engine response and improved vehicle acceleration because of its high octane rating; improved fuel economy and reduced exhaust emissions through its fully synthetic detergent additives for a clean burn and optimum power stroke; and increased resistance to engine “knock.”
Blaze remains one of the few gasoline brands that do not contain ethanol and can be used for high-end, high-performance luxury cars.
With a 96+ Research Octane Number (RON), the highest available in the market, Blaze emboldens its users to conquer the highways with ease, guaranteeing excellent performance during engine start-up and sustaining an invigorated engine power.
“We are capitalizing on our strength and flexibility as the only Filipino oil refiner to formulate new and revolutionary fuels that meet the needs and expectations of motorists,” Ang said.
“The launch of the Improved Petron Blaze is a testament to this commitment and we wish to assure our customers that we continue to look at ways of improving our existing product lines,” Ang said.
Last month, Petron introduced two new fuel products in the market: the Petron Turbo Diesel and Pinoy Gasoline.
Petron Turbo Diesel is formulated for vehicles with Common Rail Direct Injection (CRDI) diesel engines as well as older diesel engine types for optimum performance.
Pinoy Gasoline, meanwhile, is a more affordable gasoline formulation for public utility vehicles (tricycles, taxis etc.), bancas and farm equipment. Both fuels have been formulated to tailor-fit the needs of their respective markets.
Petron Blaze is no different. Launched in 2000, Petron Blaze’s evolution continues to this day with breakthroughs in gasoline and additive technologies being assimilated in its premium formulation.
