Real estate festival to focus on tourism development
MANILA, Philippines - The fourth annual celebration of the Philippine Real Estate Festival (PREF) will focus on most successful projects and best practices in tourism and real estate development in the Philippines and other ASEAN countries.
This year’s theme is “Global Tourism and Real Estate Development – Sunrise Industries for the Philippine Economy”.
Slated on July 29-31 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City, the festival will be highlighted with an ASEAN symposium on model projects and best practices in real estate and tourism development to be led by foreign international and selected foreign speakers, according to the Festival organizers led by its chairperson Rose C. Basa.
The foreign experts are:
• Arum Savkur, managing director of Quantum Fund in New York, USA who will talk on “Practical strategies in finance and infrastructure for emerging markets in real estate and tourism;
• Michael Brennan, legal advisor, L&G Global Macroi Hedge Fun (London) to speak on “Export credit and trade finance”; and Rick Bernie Kawulia, marketing specialist, funds management, Retail & wholesale, local & global (New South Wales, Australia) to discuss “Sourcing global funds for emerging real estate and tourism markets.”
Among the Philippine-based speakers are : Lindsay John Orr (RP-based), chief operating officer of Jones Land La Salle Leechiu; King son Sian, president of Travellers International Hotel Group, Inc.; Amb. Jose E.B. Antonio, chairman of Century Properties, Inc.; Delfin Lee, chairman & CEO of Globe Asiatic Realty; and Frederick G., president & COO of Robinsons’s Land, Inc.; and Gov. Luis Villafuerte of Camarines Sur.
The Festival program includes an ASEAN Fiesta to be attended by diplomats and leading entrepreneurs and business managers in the leisure and tourism business.
