MANILA, Philippines - The perennial problem of parents on how to finance the education of their children is expected to be relieved through an innovative and practical payment program launched by Equicom Savings Bank.
Called “EqB Tuition Deals,” the promo will help mitigate the heavy financial burden resulting from the rising cost of education.
It will also ensure a brighter future for students by allowing their parents or guardians to pay for their tuition and other school fees on light and affordable terms.
Eligible to participate in the program are Equicom credit cardholders with current accounts and active status as well as new card applicants whose applications are approved on or before June 1, 2010.
They may pay for tuition and other school fees on installment basis at 3, 6 or 12 months in accredited schools, such as La Consolacion College of Manila, San Beda College-Alabang and San Beda College-Manila.
For enrollment in non-accredited schools, interested cardholders may apply by submitting via fax to EqB hotline (241-8945) a duly-accomplished request form, school ID card of the student, official school assessment form and school supplies and receipts of school supplies and other related expenses.
The amount applied to be financed through the promo must be at least P5,000 and within the credit card account’s installment credit limit.
The “EqB Tuiton Deals” promo runs from March 1 until June 1, 2010.
Cardholders may also assign an unlimited number of supplementary cards and avail themselves of low finance charges.
Interested applicants for an Equicom credit card may call the 24-hour EqB hotline at 2415952 or 1-800-10-EQUICOM (3784266) or visit the website www.equicomsavings.com.
