Industrial security confab opens today

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Society for Industrial Security (PSIS) opens today the International Security Expo and Convention, the largest security event in the country, at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza, CCP Complex, Pasay City.

With the theme “Achieving Global Excellence in the Security Management,” the two-day event will gather more than 300 delegates composed of building owners and administrators, security agency owners, and corporate managers.

It will also feature 50 exhibitors and sponsors mostly security and safety suppliers which will showcase the latest cutting edge safety and security technologies.

 “We want to keep up with the global changes happening in our industry, and this event promises to give security professionals of our country the necessary knowledge and tools to make them at par with our global counterparts,” said PSIS president Dr. Eduardo Fulgencio.

 He added that the security industry has seen phenomenal growth in recent years as more business establishments realized the importance of safety and security in growing their organization. Alongside with it, the group’s organizational membership grew to 4,000 individual members nationwide.

Fulgencio cited that this is first time in the country that an international event will be held to upgrade the standards of the security practice in the country and South East Asia.
