MANILA, Philippines - Fullerlife Direct Selling has decided to reposition itself and adopt the new corporate name of Tupperware Philippines, Inc. starting this year as it embarks on a more aggressive relaunch of the well-known food server brand.
In an interview at the formal relaunch of the Tupperware brand, Perry Mogar, president of Tupperware Philippines, noted that since the acquisition of the Tupperware brand last year by Fullerlife, the company’s sales have increased substantially.
Under the new Tupperware Philippines, Mogar said, the company would market not only the Tupperware food server line, but also other well-known consumer brands such as Hanes, Playtex, Wonderbra, baby care products Zwitsal and Circus, cosmetics Colour Collection and a few other brands.
This year, Mogar projects a continued double digit growth for the entire company as it embarks on a more aggressive marketing campaign to reinforce its direct selling.
Mogar said Tupperware is in negotiations with some malls for the setting up of kiosks that would sell Tupperware Philippines’ whole range of products.
The other brands that will be carried by Tupperware include Ivana, VS Versus, Fidelity, Nutrimetics, White Result, Cool Splash, Fuller Fashion and Pop Shop.
Since its inception in 1946, the Tupperware brand has become one of the world’s most trusted direct selling consumer products company and has become the most recognized name in direct selling in over 100 countries all over the world.
Globally, Tupperware has 2.3 million independent sales force.
Tupperware has been in the Philippines since 1966.
In 2006, Tupperware was acquired by Sara Lee Direct Selling Philippines.
In 2007, the Sara Lee name was changed to Fullerlife Direct Selling Philippines. – Marianne Go
