New SAIDI Foundation head named
MANILA, Philippines - A much respected educator and the corporate secretary of the Foundation for Upgrading the Standard of Education (FUSE) is the new president of SAIDI Foundation, Inc., the school for organization development (OD). Dr. Rosalina J. Ora’a-Fuentes was installed the sixth head of SAIDI Foundation last January 23, 2010 at its campus in Antipolo City. SAIDI is the acronym of Southeast Asia Interdisciplinary Development Institute, which intends to train Christian organizational change leaders. The installing officer was retired judge Cecilia Luciano. The liturgical rite was officiated by Bishop Ben Francisco. Ora’a-Fuentes obtained her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science in Education degrees from Ateneo de Naga, where she later obtained her Masters of Arts degree in education, with specialization in curriculum development and instructional planning. She spent 15 years of traditional academic work in Ateneo de Naga and 13 years in Ateneo de Manila University, where she became director of the Ateneo Center for ELT and chairman of the English department. She is a founding member of FUSE.
