MANILA, Philippines - The Department of Energy has recently welcomed its new undersecretary, Mary Rose Magsaysay-Crisostomo, in its roster of officials.
Energy Secretary Angelo T. Reyes swore into office Magsaysay-Crisostomo who is the first Filipino certificate holder of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government’s course on Strategic Management of Regulatory and Enforcement Agencies.
Magsaysay-Crisostomo took her Bachelor of Science in Tourism at the University of the Philippines Diliman, where she also completed her masters in public administration concentrating on regional development based on the National Framework on Physical Planning. She has also completed the certificate course on Executive Education on National Security in 2007 at the National Defense College of the Philippines. In 2009, she finished the Corporate Governance and Risk Management course at the De La Salle University.
Before her assumption of duties at the DOE, Crisostomo was elected to the Zambales Tourism Council which spearheaded all notable tourism campaigns for the Magsaysay Administration from 1998 to 2007.
