Spanish expert to speak at DMCI seminar
MANILA, Philippines - DMCI Holdings, Inc. (DMCIHI) will hold a seminar that aims to raise the standards of corporate leadership for decision makers on Jan. 12, 2010, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Case Room, DMCI Homes Corporate Center.
DMCIHI, a publicly listed company engaged in general construction, real estate, mining, power, and water businesses, is bringing in from IESE Business School of Barcelona, Spain, Dr. Pablo Cardona, who heads the Department of Managing People in Organizations at IESE.
Discussion will focus on “Leadership competence for companies” and “Creating effective top management teams.” Cardona will also present ways for companies to identify and incorporate mission and values as a tool for talent development and cultural change.
Top management officials of DMCIHI’s various subsidiary companies will join the seminar.
Cardona, well known for his theory on “transcendental leadership”-a type of leadership that generates leadership from within the company- is currently involved in formulating cross-cultural research at IESE with an international network of organizational behavior researchers from various fields and countries.
