Logistics firm adopts SAP Business One

-

MANILA, Philippines - Cyrus Logistics Inc., a provider of freight forwarding, customs brokerage and warehousing services, has adopted the SAP Business One business software solution to enhance its operation in order to meet challenges in an increasingly competitive business environment. Working on the implementation project is SAP licensed reseller Fasttrack Solutions.

The need for improved automation was prompted by Cyrus Logistics’ steady growth, especially over the last two years after it introduced warehousing to its list of service offerings. Warehousing posed new challenges for the company as staff needs to be able to monitor the goods that come and go in its facility. The impact fell squarely on the company’s accounting and management systems, which were not able to process the data with sufficient speed and accuracy.

Estrellita Dimaculangan, CEO of Cyrus Logistics, explained: “Our challenge was to have the most up-to-date information available. Since we were expanding our services to include warehousing, the need for automation became more urgent for us.”

Since the migration to SAP Business One, Cyrus Logistics has realized error-free and faster report generation that prove to be critical for decision making by the management. The company also has plans to shift to SAP R/3 system in the next few years.

“With SAP Business One, Cyrus Logistics is able to seamlessly integrate their entire business across functions,” said Jennie Ligones, country manager of SAP Philippines.
