Clark Development Corp. streamlines issuance of export, import permits

- Ma. Elisa Osorio  -

MANILA, Philippines - The Clark Development Corp. (CDC) announced that it would now be easier to get import and export permits from the agency as it implements a seamless transaction through the second phase of its Electronic Transit and Admission Permit System (e-TAPS) of the Clark and Subic Freeports.

CDC assistant vice president Mariz Mandocdoc said that aside from convenience, the e-TAPS can lessen the cost for operators.

“The other benefit will be the faceless transaction for processing of permits and reduced operational cost of locators,” Mandocdoc said.

Among the highlights of the second phase of the system is the mandatory opening of account with the Land Bank in Clark and Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) branches to cover the payment of fees for the e-TAPS for CDC and the Bureau of Customs (BoC).

“The locators were also informed that posting of surety bond, in lieu of BOC under guarding of shipments transit from the port of discharged and into the final destination, transactions will be auto debited in the account of Clark and Subic locators,” she explained.
