Update on 2009 Philippine Collegiate Championship Games

At present, 27 “mother leagues” are conducting their respective competitions to determine the league champions for this year’s collegiate season. There are more than 200 collegiate teams nationwide that are participating in this annual popular sports activity which serves as the first leg on the journey towards the national collegiate championship.

After completion of the “mother leagues” competition, the winning teams in the provinces will compete for the regional championship (second leg) to determine the regional champions that will advance to the zonal qualifying games (third leg) where seven seats for the “Sweet 16” Finals are at stake.

Below are the dates and venues for the regional championship games:

North-Central Luzon regional games: October 8 – 10, 2009 at the Divine World Gym, Dagupan City;

South Luzon-Bicol regional games: October 8 – 10, 2009 at the Naga City Civic Center Gym;

Visayas regional games: October 13 – 15, 2009 at the West Negros University Gym, Bacolod City;
