Kabayan lauds OFW expo organizer

MANILA, Philippines - Vice President Noli “Kabayan,” De Castro has congratulated the Pamilyang Overseas Filipino Workers-Small and Medium Entrepreneurs Network Inc. (POFW) for organizing a twin exposition for the OFWs and their families. Entitled “8th Pamilyang OFWs-Micro, Small and Medium Entrepreneurs Expo” and “6th Filipino Seafarers Family Expo & Forum,” the events organized by the POFW will be held on Sept. 18 to 20 at the Philippine Trade Training Center in Pasay City. In his letter to the POFW, De Castro said that: “Once again, I congratulate the POFW for putting together two special events that will surely benefit our overseas workers and their families. The vice president also said: “The 8th Pamilyang OFWs-MSMEs Expo and the 6th Filipino Seafarers Expo and Forum promise to open new and wide opportunities for our OFW families to invest the money earned overseas by their family members into enterprises that would further improve their lives and – hopefully – help their OFW loved ones to return home sooner.” Since 1994, the people behind the POFW (with website address – http://www.pamilyangofw.com/) organized events – in cooperation with the government, private and non-government organization sectors – which gave OFW families vital and useful information on livelihood and business opportunities.
