Concepcion Durables ties up with SAP

MANILA, Philippines - SAP Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) announced that Concepcion Durables, Inc., one of the fastest-growing local appliance manufacturers in the country, has licensed the SAP Business One solution to enhance its business operations.

With the new SAP solution, Concepcion Durables will be able to swiftly generate important reports that are needed for the decision making process by the management. The company is also able to achieve quicker response time in the area of sales and inventory tracking.

Concepcion Durables adopted the SAP Business One to meet the company’s growing business objectives and increasingly demanding operations. The previous system was purely transactional. The company needed to convert the data to Excel format first before management reports could be generated. SAP Business One will allow for more streamlined operations and faster generation of reports.

“Before implementing the SAP Business One, management and financial reports had to be prepared in Excel spreadsheets before they could be used by the management,” said Raul Anthony Concepcion, president and COO of Concepcion Durables, Inc. “This required more time and manpower to prepare the reports. Since we are looking at doubling the sales output in the next five years, we had to evaluate our existing business solution. We realized that we needed to upgrade our system to be able to support the team to meet our growth objectives,” added Concepcion.

SAP Business One is expected to address all functionalities required by Concepcion Durables. Furthermore, it will streamline operations and eliminates the transactional aspect of the previous system.

Concepcion Durables is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Concepcion Industries, Inc. Concepcion Durables manufactures refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners under the Condura and Kelvinator brand names. The company employs about 600 people and has a manufacturing plant in Cabuyao, Laguna. Its products are distributed by 22 dealers nationwide.
