2GO boosts performance with JDA solutions

MANILA, Philippines – 2GO increases gross profits and exceeds performance goals by leveraging information technology.

2GO, the Philippines-based transport and logistics business of Aboitiz & Co. Inc., said that it has improved the management of complex transportation movements, saved costs and attained delivery performance goals for its integrated logistics business with the support of JDA Software Group’s logistics management solutions.

“The Aboitiz name has been synonymous with transport since embarking on its first shipping venture more than 100 years ago,” said Dena Clemente, 2GO assistant vice president for central resource planning. “With the advanced planning, optimization and execution capabilities that JDA Software’s logistics management solutions offer, we have achieved 98 percent delivery performance, which surpassed our original target of 95 percent. We accomplished this milestone while maintaining cost per kilo and reducing truck units from 84 to 73.”

2Go has more than 300 outlets and its own fleet of vessels, aircraft, trucks and other delivery vehicles.
