Seminar on asset foreclosures set

MANILA, Philippines - The Center for Global Best Practices will hold a one-day seminar titled “Defensive & offensive strategies against asset foreclosures” on July 31 at the Edsa Shangri-la, Mandaluyong City. The lecture is an exposition of all the remedies a debtor can employ against asset foreclosures.

It will include discussions on recent landmark court rulings in favor of the borrower, updates on rehabilitation proceedings as well as on properties sold under the Special Asset Vehicle law, and suspension of payments.

This MCLE-accredited seminar will feature Arturo M. de Castro, who is known as the “foreclosure buster”. It will also include Roberto V. Lucila, who is the managing partner of Belo Gozon Elma Parel Asuncion & Lucila Law Office. He is an expert in commercial law and author of the 2007 book titled Corporate Rehabilitation in the Philippines.
