MANILA, Philippines - PLDT Subic Telecommunications Co. (PLDT SubicTel) is now offering prepaid wireless landline or the PLDT Landline Plus (PLP) at the Subic Bay Freeport Zone as it moves to strengthen and improve the communication infrastructure in the area.
The PLP is a wireless and portable landline service which allows PLDT subscribers to bring their phones anywhere within their local area. With this service, PLDT subscribers can apply for a telephone line without need for installation and set-up.
“With PLP, anyone can enjoy the same call types as a regular fixed landline service such as incoming and outgoing calls, NDD and IDD, plus SMS or text messaging,” the company said.
Aside from these features, PLP SIM packs, which could be inserted into a cell phone, can now be purchased for only P100 at the PLDT SubicTel Business office.
PLDT SubicTel general manager Henry Abes said that with PLP, the Subic Freeport area has become more accessible to the surrounding provinces aside from affording its workers and residents a direct line to their loved ones.
“We would like to cater to the workforce and residents who frequently navigate the provinces of Zambales and Bataan,” Abes said.
He added that PLDT SubicTel’s PLP offering will make communication easier and more affordable to nearly a hundred thousand workers and residents of the freeport. – Mary Ann Reyes
