MANILA, Philippines - Winace Holdings Philippines, Inc., Group of Companies chairman Teodorico T. Haresco Jr., said he would truly treasure the Most Outstanding Award on Business Entrepreneurship conferred upon him by the provincial government of Aklan at its 53rd anniversary celebration last April 25.
“If there is one award which touches my heart deeply, it is this award that the Province of Aklan conferred on me,” he said.
“So many awards have come my way, at different levels – national, international, civic, social, economic and what-you-may-call it, but this one I know my mother, the late Tariff Commissioner, Atty. Razon T. Haresco would give a priority niche in my treasure box of legacy in the service to our people,” Haresco said.
“This award comes as the most priceless recognition by my home province (Aklan) of what I have achieved in the field of business and entreprenuership, it is a splendidd addition to the honors and distinctions in life for my humble person,” he said.
In 2006, the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) conferred upon Haresco the distinction as Pearl Awardee Businessman of the Year. People’s Asia magazine cited him as People of the Year of their prestigious Asian publication. Earlier in 2006, the Rotary Club of Kalibo, Aklan conferred on him an “International Businessman of the Year Award.”
Haresco was profuse in his thanks to the selection committee for awards of the Province of Aklan under the stewardship of Gov. Carlito S. Marquez and Rep. Florencio T. Miraflores for the recognition and honor given him at the 53rd anniversary celebration of the province.
“Words are not enough to convey my appreciation and thanks for the historical events. I would like to say, I am at your service,” he said.
