Cebu Pacific offers 1-million seats on sale

MANILA, Philippines - Cebu Pacific (CEB), the Philippines’ leading carrier to Southeast Asia and the country’s largest domestic airline, is offering more than one million seats on sale from March 25 to 31, 2009. The system-wide seat sale is valid for travel from June 1 to Dec. 31, 2009.

CEB is offering P188 all-in one-way ‘Go Lite’ promo fare from Cebu to Dumaguete and from Manila to: Busuanga (Coron); Cauayan (Isabela); Cebu; Iloilo; Laoag; Legaspi; Naga; San Jose; and Tuguegarao.

All other domestic destinations are on sale for as low as P488 (i.e. Manila-Bacolod), P788 (i.e. Cebu-Siargao), and P1,388 (i.e. Manila-Davao).

The budget airline is also offering a P799 one-way ‘Go Lite’ promo fare for its services from: Manila to Kaohsiung, Kota Kinabalu (Sabah), Taipei; and from Clark to Bangkok, Hong Kong, Macau, and Singapore.

Moreover, ‘Go Lite’ fares for Manila to Hong Kong and Macau; and from Cebu to Singapore start from P1,299 one-way. Further, flights from Manila to Bangkok, Guangzhou, Ho Chi Minh and Singapore; and from Cebu to Hong Kong are on sale for only P1,799 one-way. 

Meanwhile, CEB services from Manila to Shanghai, Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur have a ‘Go Lite’ promo fare of only P2,799 one-way and the Manila-Osaka service is on sale for P2,999 one-way.

Promotional fares are non-refundable. Passengers booking international flights will only need to pay for applicable government taxes.

“We hope that despite the tough economic situation, this seat sale will encourage many Filipinos to travel around Asia and within the Philippines. This is our way of helping the economy: by stimulating business and tourism activity in all destinations we fly to,” said Candice Iyog, CEB vice president for marketing and distribution.

Now on its 14th year, CEB operates flights to 15 international and 31 domestic destinations. It has the youngest aircraft fleet in the Philippines comprised of 11 Airbus A320, 10 Airbus A319, and seven ATR 72-500.
